South Plains Wind Project is developed by Boston-based developer SunEdison, formerly First Wind Energy. The 32,000-acre wind project, located 5 miles from Floydada in Floyd County Texas, consists of ninety-one (91) Vestas V117 3.3 MW that provides 300.3 MW of renewable energy. Terra Testing, LLC (Terra) provided geotechnical drilling, sampling and field testing, geotechnical laboratory testing for ninety-one (91) Vestas 2 MW turbine foundations, transmission line, substation, O&M building, and met tower.
