South Plains Wind Project is developed by Boston-based developer First Wind Energy. Located 5 miles from Floydada, Texas. The 20,000-acre wind project consists of one hundred (100) Vestas V100 2.0 MW that provides 200 MW of renewable energy. Terra Testing, LLC (Terra) provided geotechnical drilling, sampling and field testing, geotechnical laboratory testing for one hundred (100) Vestas 2 MW turbine foundations, transmission line, substation, O&M building, and met tower.
